Beijing Restaurant
Tucked away at 92 Rue De la Gauchetière O in the heart of Montréal’s Chinatown, Beijing Restaurant serves up Chinese cuisine with a bold, authentic flair. The vibe? Classic and inviting - the kind of place where groups gather around a hot plate of stir-fried noodles, clinking glasses of wine or beer over flavorful bites. Whether you're a regular or wandering in for the first time, there’s always something aromatic and satisfying waiting on the table.
You’ve got options here - and I’m not just talking about the menu. Beijing Restaurant offers dine-in service with a cozy setting that lets you soak in the atmosphere, but if you’re in a hurry or staying in, delivery and takeaway are available too. That flexibility makes it a go-to for locals who crave a quick bite without compromising on flavor.
Speaking of bites, the offerings here are varied enough to please just about anyone. Love late-night food? This spot’s got you covered. Want to share small plates with the table? Dive into dim sum-style selections or sizzling dishes packed with umami. Vegetarians aren’t left out either - there are thoughtfully crafted veggie options that hit all the right notes.
Pair your meal with something from their beverage list: cold beer, house wine, or even spirits for those who like a stronger sip. Everything’s served with an easy-going charm that reflects both tradition and casual comfort.
It’s easy to see why Beijing Restaurant remains a staple in Montréal’s dining scene. The location is prime, the food hits the spot, and the service keeps things flowing. Whether you’re grabbing something quick or settling in for a long dinner with friends, this is one of those places that just gets it right.
Beijing Restaurant Reviews
I love this place! The staff is nice, they can seat a big crowd if you call in advance, and the food is fantastic. Their prices are reasonable if you are getting a lot of plates to share. This is not the type of place where you get one dish for yourself, I think you would be missing out if you did this. I’ve never liked eggplant before, and the eggplant here blew my mind. I wish they had more beer options, but Tsingtao is always good.
Quaint Chinese restaurant in Chinatown with prompt and courteous service. The Beef Chow Ho was quite good as was the eggplant with tofu and pork. I appreciate how simple and straightforward this place is, and the food did not disappoint for a quick Chinese lunch.
Don’t let the 4 stars fool you, this place deserves 5 stars. Truly so authentic, one of the best comfort Chinese food places in Montreal. The cooks in the back have been perfecting the food for decades, the service is warm and super quick, and the huge menu variety doesn’t deplete the high quality of every dish. Excellent food, paired with truly exceptional service.
Everything was very nice, even the waiter was very kind. It's not expensive.
I love the place. The two staff members we saw were lovely, polite and attentive. I told my boyfriend about the lack of music, then suddenly, something started playing softly. We had the Shanghai noodles (my boyfriend and I mistakenly thought it was a less spicy version of Singapore Noodles, for some reason. We were wrong but liked it anyway.) And the eggplant ! I recommend that dish the most. It had a nice meaty flavor from pork. 10/10 dish and will be my lunch tomorrow. I'll be back to try more of the menu. The restaurant was clean, including the ladies' bathroom. Prices are great for the portion size.
Great spot. Got the hot and sour soup, 1/4 duck, mushu pork, and chow mein. The mushu pork was to die for.
Ordered: (from first to last) Mixed Veggies, General Tao Tofu, Vegetable Soup, and Scallops with Veggies. Service was warm and fast.. Foods are very hot (tongue burning kinda hot), delicious and hearty. Great choice if you are looking for a refuge in a dead cold winter day.
I loved that Chinese restaurant, very welcoming staff. Free tea with you meal, very good way to clean your palate between each bite. The dumpling in spicy peanut sauce wasn’t spicy at all but damn it was good !! The general Tao was the best I’ve eaten in a while. Very sweet sauce, crunchy chicken filet and generous portion for the price. I highly recommend the General Tao! I also tried the pork salt & spices and it was really good portion for the price and oh damn it was yummy The chow mein Beijing had noodles too crunchy for my taste but it was okay taste wise.
